Suzan Jones
Growing up, Suzan studied gymnastics. She competed in the sport in college and would later use her gymnastics experience to add pizzazz to her on-stage routines. While attending Southwest Texas State, Suzan taught aerobics, worked as a personal trainer, and was a cheerleader. After college, Suzan competed and trained heavily in the sport of female bodybuilding. Suzan's work and dedication eventually paid off when in 1996, she was elevated to Pro status as a bodybuilder. She won 1st place in the heavy weight division as well as Best Overall at the North American Championship. Known for her energetic routines and Hip Hop transitions, Suzan has graced many magazine covers. Suzan then went on to study sports massage, trigger points, and Swedish massage at the Austin School of Massage Therapy in Texas. Suzan's quest for physical enlightenment eventually led her to yoga, which she found to be amazingly transformative. She studied Hatha yoga with Iyengar alignment at Yandara Institute in Todos Santos, Mexico and received her certification. She came back appreciating even more what our bodies can do for us. |
