Jennifer Jarackas
Jennifer Jarackas' credits include teaching jazz, hip-hop, ballet and stretch and meditation to both adults and children in Orlando, Miami, and New York City, as well as tap to underprivileged kids in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Although jazz/hip-hop is her forte, her training began with classical ballet in Detroit, MI...along with tap, toe, jazz, modern, and technique. Along the way she also discovered the wonderful world of hip-hop, salsa, swing, yoga, and some martial arts. She believes that creative energies are meant to be shared, especially with children who are faced with such limited training and physical activity in their school curriculum. Her hope is to ignite - or reignite- a spark or a passion that lies dormant within each child. Her classes are high energy and FUN and she believes there is no better way or time to get kids into their bodies and health. She considers it both an honor and a privilege to be part ot the Generation Now team, and she looks forward to meeting and creating with you all. |

Stevie Hirsch
Stevie grew up a "chubby kid" and knows first-hand the difficulties associated with that stigma. Working with kids and introducing them to a fit way of life is one of her passions (art and nature are others in case you were wondering!) As an adult, her "top" weight was 232 lbs. She lost 100 lbs. in a year by participating in a really great and fun (yes, FUN!) fitness program and beginning on a healthy (and not boring!) way of eating that she continues to this day. As she became more and more involved with her new fit way of life, the natural progression was to become a fitness trainer. Combine that with her background in early childhood development and special education, and that made teaching at Generation Now a perfect match. Stevie believes that all children deserve the opportunity to develop strong, flexible, coordinated bodies and to be comfortable as their own individually unique selves. She also believes that starting young builds the foundation for a long and healthy life. She looks forward to getting to know you all! |
